The technology sector of the African economy is growing rapidly. The environment is primed for ambitious plays, and the U.S. private sector, given its' comparative advantage and in partnership with the African private sector, has a pivotal role in contributing to the advancement of Africa's digital transformation. The continent's vibrant young population represents a dynamic workforce and a massive consumer and business market. The Africa Continental Free Trade Area Agreement creates a single regional market and further accelerates digital investment opportunities. U.S. tech companies are developing cutting-edge world-class technology from artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, fintech, and the Internet of things, among other sectors.
This Forum will focus on the drivers of Africa's digital transformation and the public and private sector opportunities for collaboration toward achieving the continent's digital agenda. By convening African Heads of State, U.S. government officials, and industry leaders from the U.S. and across Africa, the Forum will highlight the remarkable digital challenges and opportunities while advancing U.S. and African private and public sector partnerships to seek increased contributions to improving the socioeconomic landscape of the continent through technology.
