Energy Investment Roundtable

OVERVIEW

Corporate Council on Africa will host an Energy Investment Roundtable in Houston Texas on the sidelines of the 50th Offshore Technology Conference (OTC).


ABOUT THE FORUM

Low oil prices have presented a challenge as well as an opportunity for Africa's oil and gas sector. The industry has proven over time that it has the ability to adjust to changing market circumstances and to innovate. Gas is now taking center stage in Africa's energy landscape, reflecting major gas discoveries across the continent as well as new technologies and supportive government policies.


The roundtable will explore:

• Industry and governmental partnerships – new business models and integrated economies;

• Recent government interventions to improve the regulatory environment, and enhance regional integration in the oil and gas sector;

• New technologies being developed and deployed in the region and;

• Investment opportunities and financing options in the gas sector.


FORMAT

The roundtable will be a high-level invitation only session that will bring together a select group of participants composed of Ministers of Energy from various African countries, CEO's of oil and gas/service companies, institutional investors, private equity executives and senior industry experts. The session will provide a platform for knowledge sharing and an opportunity to explore future partnerships and investment opportunities.
