Please join us for Ambassador's Fitsum Arega first official event to discuss bilateral economic relations between the United States and Ethiopia.
Ambassador Arega arrives at an exciting time of expanding opportunities for U.S. business and commercial engagement in Ethiopia. In the last 12 months, Ethiopia, led by H.E. Prime Minster Abiy Ahmed, has introduced significant political and economic reforms that are already boosting growth and stability across the region. In the Prime Minister's first year, Ethiopia and Eritrea reached a peace agreement and the government announced the privatization of state-owned enterprises and the liberalization of key sectors such as telecommunication, energy, aviation and logistics.
Ambassador Arega will share his views on Ethiopia's vision for economic and political reforms, and provide an update on the U.S.-Ethiopia bilateral relationship, including trade and investment. We hope you will join us for this overview of some remarkable changes happening in a remarkable country.
CCA's high level dialogue series is held in Washington DC and exclusively features senior American and African government as well as private sector officials who discuss the latest U.S and Africa trade policies, trends and developments.
