CCA and KEPSA Launch the U.S.- Kenya SME Trade Initiative Program
March 8, 2022
9:00 am -10:00 am EST
Location: Virtual
The Corporate Council on Africa (CCA), in partnership with the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA), invites you to participate in the U.S.- Kenya SME Trade Initiative program launching.
The U.S. - Kenya SME Trade Initiative is designed to provide a unique platform to facilitate trade and investment linkage and partnerships. The initiative recognizes SMEs' critical role in U.S. and Kenyan trade. It seeks to expand business and investment between American and Kenyan SMEs (particularly youth, women, and diaspora-owned enterprises) through B2B engagement and partnerships, information sharing, training, logistics, financing, and more.
This high-level virtual event will highlight the program overview and bring together the U.S. and Kenyan senior business and government officials.
Join us for this initiative and for potential partnership.
Background
CCA and KEPSA signed an MOU in October 2021 to develop the U.S.-Kenya SME Trade Initiative. We were honored to have H.E. President Uhuru Kenyatta, President of the Republic of Kenya, witness the signing and provide comments highlighting the importance of SMEs in growing both the Kenyan and U.S. economies
The initiative will initially select 25 SMEs from the U.S. to provide them with information on opportunities in Kenya and the broader East African market. We plan to introduce them to U.S. programs (like MBDA's Export Centers, SBA, Exim bank, DFC, and others) that can provide them with the technical and financial resources to develop and grow their business ventures in Kenya.
