Corporate Council on Africa Appoints Distinguished Business Leaders to its Board of Directors
The Corporate Council on Africa (CCA), a leading U.S. business association focused solely on connecting business interests in Africa, is pleased to announce the appointment of its newest members to their Board of Directors, comprising leaders from various sectors dedicated to advancing economic and commercial engagement between the United States and the African continent.

Under the visionary leadership of the newly appointed Chairman of the Board, John Olajide, Founder & CEO of Axxess, the Board members bring a wealth of experience and expertise that will propel CCA’s mission forward and foster mutually beneficial partnerships between U.S. and African public and private sector decision makers.

The newly appointed Board members are as follows:

1. Ayodeji Balogun, Group Chief Executive Officer, AFEX
2. Emily Kaine, Senior Vice President, Global Health & Manufacturing Services, USP
3. Ovidiu Bujorean, Technical Director, Partnerships and Investments, ACDI/VOCA and AV Ventures
4. Philana Mugyenyi, Director of Government Affairs and Market Access for Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), GE HealthCare
5. Emma Andrews, Vice President - Global Patient Advocacy, Global Health and Social Impact, Pfizer, Inc.
6. Karyn Harrington, Vice President Public Affairs Communications & Sustainability, The Coca-Cola Company

Each board member brings significant private sector experience and a commitment to driving U.S.-Africa trade, investment, and business partnerships. 

Ms. Florizelle Liser, President and CEO of CCA, expressed her enthusiasm about the new appointments, stating, "We are thrilled to welcome Ayodeji Balogun, Emily Kaine, Ovidiu Bujorean, and Philana Mugyenyi, Emma Andrews, and Karyn Harrington to CCA's Board of Directors. The newly appointed members will join a host of other Board Directors, who include prominent leaders from the private sector to provide strategic guidance and support CCA's mission.
