Each year, malaria claims the lives of more than 400,000 people, with one child dying from malaria every two minutes. Today, the world's first malaria vaccine is reaching thousands of children in Africa through a vaccine pilot program in selected areas of Ghana, Kenya and Malawi. This is the first and only vaccine that has demonstrated it can significantly reduce malaria and life-threatening severe malaria in young African children.
Join CCA for a roundtable discussion including representatives from GSK, PATH, and WHO. Speakers will share the latest updates on the Malaria Vaccine Implementation Programme (MVIP) and the partnership opportunities for private sector companies interested in supporting the implementation program and expanding access to the vaccine beyond the MVIP.
